Village
Xavier (Xabier in Basque and Navarro-Aragonese; and Javier in Castilian) is a town and municipality located in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain, with a population of 112. The name is the Romanized form of the original Etxeberri (Basque for "new house").
It is renowned for being home to the Castle of Xavier, partially demolished in 1516 and later restored, and an attached Basilica. It is the ultimate origin of the given name Xabier / Xavier.

What almost never fails in a village like Javier.
From a wood-fired oven if you're lucky; ask what time the batch comes out.
There's almost always a cheesemaker nearby; the local shop will know which one.
From local beekeepers: wildflower or rosemary, depending on the hills.
Almost every village has its market day and its producers: the cheesemaker, the baker, the vegetable garden next door. Ask at the tourist office or the bar on the square; they'll tell you where to buy straight from the maker.
We haven't confirmed Javier's market day. Every village has its own: better to ask than to make it up.
