Town
Reinosa is a municipality in Cantabria, Spain. As of 2009, it has 10,307 inhabitants. The municipality, one of the smallest by land area in Cantabria, is notable for being one of the nearest towns to the headwaters of the Ebro River. It is surrounded by the municipality of Campoo de Enmedio and was created a city by King Alfonso XIII in 1927, being one of only three urban centres in Cantabria with that honour, the others being Santander and Torrelavega.

What people eat in Cantabria when they eat well.
White beans with cabbage and cured meats; the dish the northern weather calls for.
Hand-filleted one by one; the most serious tins on the Cantabrian coast.
Butter, sugar and egg from the Pas valleys; for breakfast or a snack.
Moist fresh-milk dessert, baked slowly.
Almost every village has its market day and its producers: the cheesemaker, the baker, the vegetable garden next door. Ask at the tourist office or the bar on the square; they'll tell you where to buy straight from the maker.
Market day: Monday, 9:00 to 14:00
